The Fellowship of Reconciliation is among the many allies for the United States tour of the Caravan for Peace with Justice and Dignity founded by the Mexican Poet and Peace Leader Javier Sicilia as part of a crusade against the drug war. The tour launched from Tijuana on August 11, 2012 and visited 24 cities in the U.S before culminating in Washington D.C. on September 12th. For more information, please visit www.caravanforpeace.org
On Friday 9/7, the Caravan visited New York City’s City Hall and marched to Zuccotti Park (1st Occupy Wall Street sight). The woman on the cell phone is Janice Gallagher, one of the core organizers of the Caravan.
